Updates on Savanna's progress:
8/12/08 Chemo starts very soon and some will be in-patient and some will be out-patient. There are two protocols and it will last a year. Savanna goes on the 18th to get an MRI per Dr. Lee to see if any cancer has returned.Savanna on WALB news:
8/13/08 Nine-year-old Hannah Jowers is raising money for her friend 4-year-old Savanna Pughsley who will soon start chemotherapy for a brain tumor. Hannah is challenging 6,000 South Georgia students and teachers to give up their snack or coffee and donate a dollar toward the fund. "Hannah is donating eleven dollars and eleven snack days of her own dollars for Savanna," said her mother, Ann Jowers. "I think its amazing. I can't imagine how she came up with the idea for a child wanting to help another child and it's wonderful," said Savannah's mother, Brittany Pughsley.
